THE RIVALRY REIGNITES!

Donkey Kong has stolen all the Mini-Mario toys from the factory, and it’s up to Mario to get them back! Run, jump, and backflip your way to retrieving them across over 130 levels in this puzzle-style twist on classic platforming action.

The rivalry that originally heated up on the Game Boy™ Advance system returns on the Nintendo Switch™ system with newly added co-op play, brand-new worlds, updated music and visuals, and other new ways to play.

PUZZLE YOUR WAY THROUGH OVER 130 LEVELS

Put your brain to work and figure out the best way to reach the Mini-Mario toys in puzzle-platforming challenges across eight distinct worlds. Watch for enemies, dodge hazards, and use the tools scattered around. See if you can earn a Perfect rating on each level!

FIND THE MINI-MARIO TOYS

Observe your surroundings and plan your actions carefully to collect the key and rescue the Mini-Mario.

GUIDE THE MINI-MARIOS TO THEIR TOY BOX

In some levels, you’ll have to lead a pack of the mechanical fellas through perilous places. Try to collect all the letter blocks and then safely guide as many Mini-Marios as you can into their toy box!

BATTLE IT OUT WITH THE BIG LUG

At the end of each world, use everything you’ve learned to defeat Donkey Kong in an arcade-inspired platforming battle. Don’t go easy on him because he certainly won’t go easy on you!

DANGER, DANGER!

Use your wits and some impressive moves to make your way through a variety of puzzle-platforming challenges.

TEAM UP WITH A FRIEND

A second player can join the fun as Toad on the same system in Two-Player Mode! Put your heads together to solve any of the more than 130 levels. You might even notice some differences in them when you buddy up.

Reviews

This won’t be one for the action-platformer fans, but if you’re after something a little more cruisy to get that puzzle brain ticking, this will likely do the job. It’s safe to say I had a great time chasing after that big gorilla, and getting far too attached to my mechanical children in the process. -Player 2

Mario vs. Donkey Kong is a faithful remake with a few new features that mix in well with the original content. Aside from its high price and short duration, this is the kind of game that’s so harmless and fun that it’s hard not to recommend to puzzle-platformer fans. -Voxel

Mario vs. Donkey Kong has turned out to be a good remake of a somewhat underrated GBA classic. A good update of a very well designed, fun, challenging and entertaining puzzle and platform title that now benefits from a new and beautiful graphic section, the inclusion of two great worlds, very successful new modes and several quality improvements. life. We are not going to deny that we have missed the scoring system of the original a little and that if you are only looking to get to the credits it may fall very short, but if you feel like jumping in and testing your ingenuity in a title that goes to the grain and adapts well to short games, here you will find just what you are looking for. -Vandal

I enjoyed my HD revisit of Mario vs. Donkey Kong quite a bit, even to the point of earning every badge in the game. While there’s not a lot here that will appeal to those who weren’t attracted by the original game, it’s still a solid remake that adds fun new stages and HD polish. -Twinfinite

I could see myself blasting through levels of Mario vs. Donkey Kong while waiting for a flight at the airport, or on the train to work, and that’s the best-case scenario for this package, brimming with bite-sized platforming challenges. It may not contain all the spectacle of others, but there’s enough precise jumping and quick calculations here to satisfy the more hardcore, goal-oriented, score-chasing Mario players around. -Destructoid
