Meet the colorful crew of COs

Call upon your Commanding Officers for help—each has their own strengths and weaknesses. For example, Andy can repair units, while Sami can capture properties at 150% speed.

Here are just a few of the Commanding Officers you can meet throughout the two campaigns:

Test your strategic skills in turn-based battles!

Move land, air, and naval units across the battlefield.

Take down enemy units and capture cities and bases to secure victory for your side.

Keep an eye on different types of terrain and weather as you build and command a variety of units across multiple missions.

Unleash your CO Powers

Turn the tide by using the special abilities of your Commanding Officers. Be on guard, though—your enemies have CO Powers of their own!

Go solo or take on your friends!

When you aren’t busy planning through the two campaign stories, flex your strategy chops in a variety of other modes:

Versus Mode – Up to four players can battle on dozens of maps. Each player chooses a CO from either campaign and can strategically use their CO Powers to turn the tides of battle. Customize your game with a variety of play options.
Online Mode – Ready to test your tactical talent? Challenge a friend online to a 1v1 battle and prove your strategic skills!
War Room – Battle the CPU and try to get the top ranking.
Design Room – Create and share** your own custom maps.
Hachi’s Shop – Unlock additional CO’s and Maps for use in Versus Mode as well as music and artwork.

Advance Wars has always been one of the best Nintendo games, and this remake by Wayforward (visually very cute and content-packed) does it justice. It won’t take you long to learn its simple and intuitive gameplay, but you’ll be able to play it for all of eternity and not get bored, against the AI or in the endless multiplayer mode. -Hobby Consolas

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is a pure strategy game that lovers of the genre will enjoy. As a remake it does very well, both with the aesthetic change and with the new additions. Things get better with the multiplayer, although in the online part they limited the matchmaking a lot. Without a doubt, a classic that comes back to life. -GamersRD
